基因AFP（α胎蛋白）编码一种分子量为70kDa的血浆糖蛋白。该基因定位于人类4号染色体。该基因与血清白蛋白在进化上相关，血清白蛋白也定位于人类4号染色体。在胚胎卵黄囊和肝脏发育过程中，它是与血清白蛋白一起合成的。

AFP抗体通过靶向人AFP氨基末端附近的14个氨基酸多肽获得。
應用

生化／生理作用
