L-鸟氨酸单盐酸盐已用于研究L-鸟氨酸在脂多糖诱导大鼠内毒素血症时,对携带L-精氨酸的转运系统的阻断作用。它还用于氨基酸的脱羧试验。
生化/生理作用
L-鸟氨酸是精氨酸酶降解的产物,并且通过尿素循环在氨代谢中起重要作用。在哺乳动物中,鸟氨酸作为多胺和脯氨酸生物合成的前体。由鸟氨酸合成的精胺是在诸如乳腺癌的肿瘤中观察到的丰富多胺。服用 L-鸟氨酸可改善睡眠质量的主观指数。L-鸟氨酸降低皮质醇/DHEA-S(脱氢表雄酮)比例,这与压力有关。在小鼠中,发现L-鸟氨酸影响小鼠血浆生长激素、皮质酮和褪黑激素水平。
