成分
软骨素是一种酸性粘多糖,存在于软骨、皮肤、角膜和脐带中。由等摩尔量的交替 N-乙酰半乳糖胺、D-葡萄糖醛酸和硫酸盐残基组成,可在其任一亚基上硫酸化。硫酸化可发生在半乳糖胺部分的 6 位和/或 4 位,任何单个二糖单位都可能是 6-硫酸化、4-硫酸化、4,6-二硫酸化或未硫酸化。
