生化/生理作用

α2-巨球蛋白在血浆和间质液中大量存在。蛋白酶-α2-M 平衡在介导炎症组织破坏中起重要作用。脓毒症、肺气肿、牙周炎、类风湿性关节炎和其他炎症性疾病患者的血清 α2-M 和蛋白酶-α2-M 复合物水平升高,而 α2-M 的氧化失活可能导致炎症期间的组织破坏。
