一般說明
石蜡是固化微晶体，通过连续煮沸含有异烷烃的渣油来生产。软石蜡和固体石蜡熔点为45-60°C。
應用
石蜡可用作相变材料(PCM)，用于装填剥离纳米石墨片(xGnP)，以便开发节能建筑材料。它可以作为燃烧材料，用于混合火箭发动机应用。基于石蜡/纳米石墨片的纳米复合材料可用于制造太阳能蒸发器的混合存储材料，帮助淡化海水。
