General description

Tetrachloroethylene is a chlorinated ethene derivative mainly found in the contaminated groundwater due to its extensive use as a dry cleaning solvent. Its sorption and reduction kinetics with zero-valent iron has been determined in a closed, anaerobic batch system.
Tetrachloroethylene, a chlorinated ethylene, is a common industrial solvent. It is also one of the major contaminant found in groundwater supplies.

Application

TCE may be used as a metal cleaning or degreasing agent.
Tetrachloroethylene (TCE) was employed as solvent to investigate the NMR spectra of end functionalized cyclopentadienyl poly(ethylene) (PE-Cp).
