General description

Membrane impermeant DNA intercalator. Useful for staining apoptotic cells and nuclei by flow cytometry. Useful in differentiating between apoptotic and necrotic cell death. Can be used together with common green fluorescent probes, e.g. fluorescein isothiocyanate. Excitation max.: ~536 nm; Emission max.: ~617 nm.
