General description
Method: Colorimetric with test strips, 10 - 25 - 50 - 100 - 250 - 500 mg/L, MQuant®
The MQuant® test strips can be used to check quaternary ammonium compounds, which have microbicidal properties and are mainly used in surface cleaners. Certain quaternary ammonium compounds react with an indicator, the color of which changes from yellow-green to turquoise-blue. The concentration of the quaternary ammonium compounds is measured semi-quantitatively by visual comparison of the reaction zone of the test strip with the fields of a color scale. The test strips are perfect for pre-testing a sample in an economic and quick way to estimate the concentration and a possible dilution factor prior to using a quantitative method such as a Spectroquant® test.
Design for sustainability benefits:
We continue to demonstrate our commitment to our planet and a sustainable future by exploring ways to improve existing products in our portfolio. We have recently reviewed the current line of MQuant® test strips to identify key opportunities to minimize impact without compromising on the product performance.
