General description

tert-Butylamine is an organic chemical compound used as an intermediate in the synthesis of sulfenamides.

Application

tert-Butylamine (TBA) can be used in the following applications:
  • It is an effective solvent for the removal of surfactants such as PVP and capping agents such as KBr from the nanoparticle surface.
  • Mixed complexes of platinum, amino acid and TBA show potent anti-tumor activities.
  • It is an effective base for the aziridination of 2-arylethenyl(diphenyl)sulfonium salt to form the corresponding N-tert-butylaziridine.
