Due to its semiconducting properties, it can be used as a charge transport material in Organic Field-Effect Transistors(OFETs).It can be utilized as a host material in the emissive layer of organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) devices. It provides a suitable matrix for efficient energy transfer from dopant molecules, leading to enhanced electroluminescence and color purity in OLEDs.
4,4′-Bis(carbazol-9-yl)biphenyl, also known as CBP is used as solution-processable Phosphorescent Host in organic electronics such as OLED devices.
