General description

Diuvaretin, a dihydrochalcone, is a natural product commonly available from Dipteryx odorata, Uvaria acuminata and Uvaria chamae plants. This plant metabolite exhibits various biological activities such as anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antineoplastic, anti-angiogenic, and antimalarial properties.

Application

It is a natural product derived from plant source that finds application in compound screening libraries, metabolomics, phytochemical, and pharmaceutical research.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Diuvaretin exhibits cytotoxicity towards human promyelocytic leukemia HL-60 cells. It has a role as a metabolite, an antineoplastic agent and an antimalarial.
Diuvaretin inhibits NF-kB activation, hindering inflammation and cancer. It also suppresses tumor cell proliferation, induces apoptosis, and diminishes tumor growth and angiogenesis in mouse cancer models.

Features and Benefits

  • High quality compound suitable for multiple research applications
