General description

Guinea pig serum is pooled from normal donor herd.

Application

Guinea pig serum has been used as a neural cell culture medium (N2B27) supplement during immunosurgery to isolate inner cell masses. It has also been used as a component of sterile phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) in antibody assays.
Guinea pig serum is suitable blocking agent and negative control in immunoassays.
