Gene Information

General description

Ephrin type-B receptor 2 (EphB2) is a receptor tyrosine kinase for ephrin ligands that mediate numerous developmental processes, particularly in the nervous system. Ephrin receptors make up the largest subgroup of the receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) family. EphB2 is critical for embryonic/postnatal development for lateral suprapyramidal blade formation which is in a specific region of the dentate gyrus. EphB2 is expressed in the two main components of the thymus, developing thymocytes, TEC, colorectal cancer, and in the earliest SGZ progenitor cells as they migrate during development and form the dentate gyrus.

Immunogen

Purified recombinant fragment of EphB2 expressed in E. coli.

Application

Anti-EphB2 Antibody, clone 2D12C6 is a highly specific mouse monoclonal antibody, that targets EphB2 & has been tested in western blotting, IHC & ICC.
Immunocytochemistry Analysis: A 1:500 dilution from a representative lot detected EphB2 in HeLa and HepG2 cells.

Immunohistochemistry Analysis: 1:200 to 1:1,000 dilution from a representative lot detected EphB2 in rat cerebellum, pons/midbrain, and hippocampus tissues. Optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user.
