General description

Method: photometric 0.002 - 5.00 mg/l Spectroquant®

The method is analogous to EPA 420.1, APHA 5530 C+D, ISO 6439, and ASTM D1783-01.

This Spectroquant®Phenol Reagent Test allows the accurate quantification of the phenol content (and its derivatives) in aqueous samples.

Method applied: In buffered solution, in the presence of an oxidizing agent phenol and its ortho- and meta-substituted compounds react with 4-aminoantipyrine to form a red compound which is determined photometrically.

The Spectroquant®Reagent Test Kits contain highly stable, ready-to-use reagent mixtures to perform the analysis according to the procedure described in the accompanying instruction leaflet.

All our Cell and Reagent Test Kits are equipped with the unique Live ID (2D barcode) which allows seamless method recognition and contains essential information such as lot number, expiry date, and automatic calibration updates.

Application

  • KUNKEL PHENOL TEST IN DIAGNOSIS OF ATHEROSCLEROSIS.: This article explores the utilization of the Kunkel phenol test in diagnosing atherosclerosis, indicating its relevance in clinical diagnostics rather than analytical chemistry applications (MEDVEDEV VP et al., 1964).
