Specificity

Nerve growth factor-beta (NGF). Less than 1% cross-reactivity against recombinant human BDNF, NT3 and NT4 by ELISA.

Immunogen

Mouse nerve growth factor-beta purified from salivary glands.

Application

Immunohistochemistry: 1-2 μg/mL (see suggested protocol).

Immunoblotting: 1-2 μg/mL

Bioassays (Inhibition of biological activity in vitro): 1-2 μg/mL

in vivo animal studies: use neat

ELISA: 1-2 μg/mL

Optimal working dilutions must be determined by the end user.

BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY:

This antibody completely inhibits neuron survival and the outgrowth actions of mouse NGF in chicken dorsal root ganglion in vitro.

Physical form

Affinity purified immunoglobulin. Lyophilized from PBS. Contains no preservative. Reconstitute to desired volume with sterile distilled water. Suggested concentration 0.5-1.0 mg/mL.

Storage and Stability

Maintain at lyophilized material at -20 to -70°C for up to 12 months after date of receipt. After reconstitution maintain at -20 to -70°C in undiluted aliquots for up to six months. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
