General description

Strontium carbonate is a precursor material used in the manufacture of colorants in fireworks, special glasses, computer monitors, paints, glass cathode-ray tubes, medicine, and photocatalysts.

Application

Strontium carbonate can be used to prepare:
  • (1-x)(Bi0.5Na0.5)TiO3-xSrTiO3-ceramics exhibiting piezoelectric properties.
  • Samarium and sodium-doped SrBi4Ti4O15 piezoelectric ceramics.
  • Sodium and praseodymium substituted Sr0.2Na0.4Pr0.4Bi4Ti4O15 piezoelectric ceramic for high-temperature sensor applications.
