Application

Boron Nitride Nanotubes (BNNT) exhibit giant stark effect and electric field tunability of the band gap. BNNTs find applications in photovoltaics, nanoelectronics and as additive in polymeric composites. BNNTs show non-cytotoxicity which makes them promising for biomedical, therapeutic and diagnostics applications as well.
