Gene Information

General description

Anti-Cdc7 Kinase antibody, Mouse monoclonal (mouse IgG1 isotype) is derived from the DCS-341 hybridoma produced by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells (NS2) and splenocytes from BALB/c mice immunized with full length human Cdc7 kinase. Cell division cycle 7-related protein kinase(CDC7) is an enzyme encoded by the CDC7 gene in humans. It is highly expressed in diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL). Human Cdc7 kinase consists of 574 amino acids with a molecular weight of 55 kDa. CDC7 shares nearly 45% identity with yeast Cdc7 kinase in the kinase domain.

Immunogen

full-length human Cdc7 kinase.

Application

Anti-Cdc7 Kinase antibody, Mouse monoclonal has been used in:
  • enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)
  • immunoblotting
  • immunoprecipitation
  • immunocytochemistry.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Cell division cycle 7-related protein kinase (CDC7) in addition to its role in chromosome structure maintenance and repair, is also involved in meiosis and checkpoint responses.
Cell division cycle 7-related protein kinase(CDC7) is a serine-threonine essential kinase required for the initiation of DNA replication and is involved in regulation of the cell cycle. It is high expressed in diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL). Loss of Cdc7 kinase expression results in retarded growth at both cellular and whole body levels, with especially profound impairment of germ cell development. It inhibits genotoxin-induced apoptosis and increases survival in cancer cells. It may play an important role in the development and progression of colorectal cancer. Depletion of Cdc7 induces cancer cell death regardless of its p53 status. It can also interact with and phosphorylate Claspin.

Physical form

Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.
