General description

4-Fluoromethcathinone is a stimulant and new designer drug found in “bath salts” sold at head shops and over the Internet. These synthetic cathinones offer recreational uses that mimic the effects of illegal drugs such as cocaine, methamphetamine, and LSD. Abuse of 4-fluoromethcathinone, also called flephedrone or 4-FMC, has been observed throughout the US from Louisiana, Texas, and Florida to New Jersey, Illinois, and Kansas.
