General description

N-Desmethylmirtazapine is the major urinary metabolite of the tetracyclic antidepressant mirtazapine, marketed under the trade names Remeron®, Avanza, or Zispin for treatment of depression. The metabolite, also known as normirtazapine, is pharmacologically active. This Certified Spiking Solution® is suitable for LC/MS or GC/MS methods in mirtazapine testing for forensic analysis, clinical toxicology, or urine drug testing.
