Gene Information

General description

TrypZean® eliminates the introduction of animal source contaminants found in traditional bovine and porcine trypsins.

Application

Eliminates the introduction of animal source contaminants found in traditional bovine and porcine trypsins.
TrypZean® has been used in a study to assess the use of animal protein-free products for passaging adherent human adipose-derived stromal/stem cells. TrypZean® has also been used in a study to compare a recombinant trypsin with the porcine pancreatic extract on sperm used for the in vitro production of bovine embryos.

Biochem/physiol Actions

For dissociation of cultured cells.

Preparation Note

Manufactured by Applied Biotechnology Institute utilizing proprietary transgenic plant protein expression system.

Codon-usage bias has been observed in almost all genomes and is thought to result from selection for efficient and accurate translation of highly expressed genes. Codon usage is also implicated in the control of transcription, splicing and RNA structure. Many
