Cell Line Origin

Human B lymphocyte, EBV transformed

Cell Line Description

Peripheral blood lymphocytes from a male Tunisian immortalised by EBV transformation. The cell line contains the following deletions in the human immunoglobulin heavy chain constant region locus: deletion I (G1-EP1-A1-GP-G2-G4) and deletion II (EP1-A1-GP). Gm-Am phenotype: Gmb:-;A2m2/Gmg;za;.A2m2. The absence of G2m allotypes due to the deletion of the IGHG2 gene.

Application

Molecular and immunological analysis of gene deletions

Culture Medium

RPMI 1640 + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).

Subculture Routine

Maintain cultures between 3-9x100,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37°C.
