Application
- Application in Clinical Pharmacokinetics: Hydromorphone-3-β-ᴅ-glucuronide was included in a study to develop and validate a liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) method for the simultaneous quantification of five analgesics and sedatives and their metabolites in human plasma. This research aids in pharmacokinetic studies, crucial for pain management and drug development in intensive care units, highlighting the method′s application in clinical settings to determine neurological death (Jutras et al., 2020).
Features and Benefits
- The certified value of the SRM was determined by calculating the mass fraction values, obtained through two methods:
- The gravimetric preparation method using high-purity zinc metal, assayed by NIST.
- Analysis conducted by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES).
- The certified value can be traced metrologically to the mass fraction′s derived SI unit, which is milligrams per gram.
- The NIST certificate is provided with expiration certificate, storage, handling, use, and maintenance instructions.
