Reacts with Echovirus 4, both Pesasceck and Dutoit prototype strains. May also react with several strains of Echovirus 30.
Application
This Anti-Echovirus 4 Antibody, clone 431-4H-6H-3B is validated for use in IF for the detection of Echovirus 4.
When used in conjunction with Echovirus 30 MAB, MAB 985 can be used to identify Echovirus 4. Isolates positive with MAB 985 should be tested with Echovirus 30 MAB (MAB 974 or Cat. No. 3315) to verify its proper identification. If the isolate is positive with Echovirus 30 MAB or both Echovirus 30 and Echovirus 4 MABs then the isolate can be presumptively identified as Echovirus 30. If the isolate is only positive with Echovirus 4 MAB then the isolate can be presumptively identified as Echovirus 4.
Suggested starting dilution for indirect immunofluorescence is 1:1000. Dilute with buffer pH 7.8 containing protein or other stabilizing medium. Final working dilutions must be determined by end user.
