General description
Nicotinamide (or niacinamide) is a form of vitamin B3 that can be used in a variety of therapeutic applications. It is found in meat, fish, nuts, and mushrooms, as well as in some vegetables. It is an amide derivative of nicotinic acid and is preferred in the treatment of pellagra, acne and skin cancer.
Nicotinamide-2,6,7-13C3-(pyridyl-15N) is an isotope of vitamin B3 wherein pyridine nitrogen and C-2, C-6, C-7 pyridine carbons are replaced by 15N7 and 13C6 isotopes, respectively.
