Gene Information

human ... NRN1(51299)

General description

Neuritin (NRN1) is a candidate plasticity associated gene, that is a member of the neurotrophic factor family. It is also known as CPG15. It is expressed in the liver, heart, lungs, skeletal muscle and other normal organs along with the nervous system. It is also expressed in gastric cancer tissues. It is mapped to chromosome 6p24-p2.

Immunogen

a 20 amino acid peptide from near the center of human neuritin.

Application

Anti-Neuritin has been used in immunohistochemistry and western blotting.

Biochem/physiol Actions

In gastric cancer treatment, neuritin (NRN1) serves as a potential target. It also participates in the pathogenesis of tumors. It plays a major role in the nervous system and on the migration, senescence, proliferation, and viability of stem cells.

Linkage

The action of this antibody can be blocked using blocking peptide SBP4101.

Physical form

Solution in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.02% sodium azide
