General description

A biphenyl neolignan and an active principle of Magnolia extract that displays anti-angiogenic, anti-tumor and anxiolytic properties. Shown to induce apoptosis and preferentially inhibit the growth of primary human endothelial cells over fibroblasts by blocking VEGFR2 autophosphorylation and subsequent rac activation. Also blocks the in vivo growth of SVR angiosarcoma in nude mice.
The active principle of Magnolia extracts that exhibits anti-angiogenic, anti-tumor, anxiolytic, and chemoprotective properties. Shown to induce apoptosis and preferentially inhibit the growth of primary human endothelial cells over fibroblasts by blocking vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2) autophosphorylation and subsequent rac activation. Also shown to block the growth of SVR angiosarcoma in nude mice.
