General description

ANKFN1 (Ankyrin-repeat and fibronectin type III domain containing 1) is mapped on chromosome region 17q22. It has been reported that patients diagnosed with microdeletion syndrome do not possess 17q22 chromosomal band. Fibronectin repeats reflect essential properties of the different type of proteins, and ankyrin repeats facilitate protein interactions.
