General description

Iscove′s Modified Dulbecco′s medium is a modification of Dulbecco′s Modified Eagle′s Medium (DME) containing selenium, additional amino acids, and vitamins, sodium pyruvate, 4-(2-hydroxyethyl)-1-piperazineethanesulfonic acid (HEPES) buffer, and potassium nitrate instead of ferric nitrate. Iscove′s medium supports murine B lymphocytes, hemopoietic tissue from bone marrow, B cells stimulated with lipopolysaccharide, T lymphocytes, and a variety of hybrid cells.

Application

Iscove′s Modified Dulbecco′s Medium has been used to culture KG1a cells (human leukemic cell line) and Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) DG44 cell line.
Reported to support murine B lymphocytes, hematopoietic tissue from bone marrow, B cells stimulated with lipopolysaccharide, T lymphocytes, and a variety of hybrid cells.
