General description

Doxycycline is a member of the tetracycline antibiotics group, and is commonly used to treat a variety of infections. It is a Broad spectrum antibiotic and bacteriostatic. Doxycycline shows antiprotozoal properties and is a potent inhibitor of MMPs (matrix metalloproteinases) in vivo.

Application

Doxycycline hydrochloride has been used for the induction of shRNA expression and induction of expression vectors.
