General description
Human chorionic gonadotropin (HcG) is 237 amino acid glycoprotein that is released by the pacenta after implantation of an embryo. HcG is commonly used in diagnostics to detect pregnancy and depending on the sensitivityof the test, elevated levels of HcG can be detected in the Urine or Serum from as early as 3 weeks.
