General description
Method: Colorimetric, with test strips and reagent, 10 - 20 - 40 - 60 - 100 mg/L (HCHO), MQuant®
Formaldehyde is used as a disinfectant for surfaces, medical equipment and also as a raw material in binding agents, fixing agents or as a preservative. The MQuant® Formaldehyde test includes test strips and all necessary additional reagents. Formaldehyde reacts with a Triazole to form a purple-red tetrazine. The formaldehyde concentration is measured semi-quantitatively by visual comparison of the reaction zone of the test strip with the fields of a color scale. The test strips are perfect for pre-testing a sample in an economic and quick way to estimate the Formaldehyde concentration and a possible dilution factor prior to using a quantitative method such as a Reflectoquant® or Spectroquant® test.
Design for sustainability benefits:
We continue to demonstrate our commitment to our planet and a sustainable future by exploring ways to improve existing products in our portfolio. We have recently reviewed the current line of MQuant® test strips to identify key opportunities to minimize impact without compromising on the product performance.
This product has benefited from:
- Test strip with reduction
- Recycled aluminum tube
- Digital instruction leaflet
