General description

Bovine serum is a component extracted from bovine blood. It serves as a nutrient supplement in various in vitro cell cultures. It is also used in the culture of cumulus-oocyte complexes. Anti-bovine serum antibody can be used in differential staining to estimate inner cell mass and trophectoderm cell count. Rabbit anti- bovine serum antibody reacts specifically with normal bovine serum.

Immunogen

Pooled normal bovine serum.

Application

Anti-Bovine Serum antibody produced in rabbit has been used as a supplement in Dulbecco′s modified eagle medium for culturing inner cell mass (ICM) and cohesive trophectoderm (TE).
Anti-bovine serum antibody (10% (v/v) in Hepes-SOF) has been used in immunosurgery and immunoelectrophoresis.
