General description

Method: Reflectometric with test strips, 20.0 - 100 mg/L (H2O2), Reflectoquant®

Peroxide is an all purpose disinfectant which, due to its excellent antiviral, bactericidal and fungicidal action, is widely used in the food industry. Here, the Reflectoquant® test strips are suited for the determination of inorganic peroxides in aqueous solutions. Furthermore the test can be used in disinfecting and rinsing solutions (e.g. in food technology, laundries) and in swimming-pool water. Peroxidase transfers peroxide oxygen to an aminophenazone derivative. This produces a red compund that is determined reflectometrically on the RQflex®. For pre-testing a sample in an economic and quick way to estimate the peroxide concentration and a possible dilution factor prior to using this quantitative method we recommend our semi-quantitative MQuant® test strips for peroxide.
