General description
[TM=“Nalgene”] Oak Ridge high-speed centrifuge tubes made with [TM=“PTFE”] fluoropolymer and closure made with [TM=“Tefzel”] can be used to perform high-speed centrifugation of aggressive chemicals. These tubes and closures are specially designed for chloroform and phenol extractions.
Features and Benefits
- Capable of withstanding temperatures ranging from -100°C to +150°C (-148°F to +302°F).
- Leakproof closures prevent material loss under normal use for most spins <10,000 × g.
- When used with Nalgene sealing cap assemblies, the 30mL tubes can handle centrifugal forces up to 50,000 x g.
- Autoclavable, biohazard-safe, and leakproof when utilized with the provided Nalgene closure or PTFE FEP.
Other Notes
Tubes must be filled to at least 100% of their total capacity to ensure proper performance.
