Application

GYY4137 Dichloromethane complex has been used as a non-isothiocyanate H2S (hydrogen sulfide) donor.

Biochem/physiol Actions

GYY4137 is a small molecule releaser of H2S with vasodilator and antihypertensive activity. H2S has been found to be an important biological mediator with multiple effects on neuromodulation, hypertension, inflammation, and vascular tone. GYY4137 should prove useful in the study of the many and varied biological effects of H2S.

The potential biological significance of hydrogen sulfide (H(2)S) has attracted growing interest in recent years. The aim of this study was to characterize a novel, water-soluble, slow-releasing H(2)S compound [morpholin-4-ium 4 methoxyphenyl(morpholino) phosphinodithioate (GYY4137)] and evaluate its use as a

Background Failure rates after revascularization surgery remain high, both in vein grafts (VG) and arterial interventions. One promising approach to improve outcomes is endogenous upregulation of the gaseous transmitter-molecule hydrogen sulfide, via short-term dietary restriction. However, strict patient compliance stands
