Gene Information

human ... SGK1(6446)

General description

The serum- and glucocorticoid-regulated kinase (Sgk1) is a member of the AGC kinase family. It is located on human chromosome 6q23.

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human SGK around the phosphorylation site of Ser422.

Immunogen Range: 381-430

Biochem/physiol Actions

The serum- and glucocorticoid-regulated kinase (Sgk1) controls ENaC (expressed renal epithelial Na+ channel) by mineralocorticoids. SGK1 controls p27 phosphorylation upon the activation by mTOR-Raptor.
