Cell Line Description
The cell line CTAC originated from a 7 year old female boxer with thyroid adenocarcinoma of small-cell type. CTAC has been reported to be highly susceptible for use in canine natural killer cell (chromium release) assays.
Application
Canine natural killer cell assay.
Culture Medium
RPMI 1640 or MEM + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Subculture Routine
Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:5 using 0.25% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37°C.
