General description

The glycine standard is produced under stringent conditions and measured with the highest possible precision.

Application

It can be used as an analytical standard to:
  • Evaluate Kjeldahl′s procedure to determine total protein content of reference standards used in clinical laboratories.
  • Analyze beer and wine for their protein and total usable nitrogen using a microwell ninhydrin assay.
  • Compare Kjeldahl and Dumas methods for routine analysis of dairy products in an interlaboratory study.
  • Simultaneously determine total phosphorus and total Kjeldahl nitrogen in surface water samples.
  • Quantitatively determine nitrate in surface waters using Valdetrama method.
  • Measure low level Kjeldahl nitrogen using an AutoAnalyzer.

Refer to the product′s Certificate of Analysis for more information on a suitable instrument technique. Contact Technical Service for further support.
