General description

Purospher® STAR Phenyl, 2 µm UHPLC columns are the best alternative to RP-8 or RP-18 columns for the high-resolution separation of aromatic compounds, and compounds containing aromatic groups. Purospher® STAR Phenyl can retain analytes via several different mechanisms, including ο-ο interactions between the overlap of the delocalized electrons on the analyte and the stationary phase phenyl group, and via partitioning between the mobile phase and the hydrophobic aryl-alkyl phase. Our Purospher® STAR Phenyl columns are based on highpurity silica particles, which provide symmetrical peaks for basic compounds, as well as high stability and excellent reproducibility. Intended to be used in the separation of antibiotics,aromatic amines, flavonoids, ketones,nucleosides, PAHs, peptides, preservatives, steroids, metabolized steroids, and sweeteners.
