General description

Method: colorimetric with color card and comparator block with long test tubes 0.01 - 0.02 - 0.03 - 0.04 - 0.06 - 0.08 - 0.10 - 0.15 -0.20 mg/l Fe MQuant®
The MQuant® Iron test (formally MColortest®) measures bivalent and trivalent iron in its dissolved form as well as fresh colloidal iron(III) hydroxide in
  • Groundwater and surface water, seawater
  • Drinking water and mineral water
  • Waters from aquaculture
  • Boiler and boiler feed water, cooling water
  • Industrial water
  • Wastewater and percolating water
  • Food after appropriate sample pretreatment

Method
All iron ions are reduced to iron(II) ions. In a thioglycolate-buffered medium these react with a triazine derivative to form a red-violet complex. The iron concentration is measured semiquantitatively by visual comparison of the color of the measurement solution with the color fields of a color card. The unique brilliance of the print and their fine color graduation allow precise analyses, even at the lower end of the concentration range.
Due to the long test tubes a sensitive measurement range can be covered.
Using the refill pack 1.18458 containing all the reagents, the original test kit can be used for a very long time, making it a particularly economical and ecological system.
