General description

EMSURE grade solvents are suitable for a broad spectrum of classical lab applications, and are frequently used in regulated and highly demanding lab applications. EMSURE provides worldwide best and most extensive product specifications. We declare our EMSURE range to be in compliance with the ACS, with the reagent part of the European Pharmacopoeia (Reag. Ph Eur) and also with the ISO standards.

Application

Formamide destabilizes nucleic acid duplexes and may be used, typically, at a concentration of 50%, in hybridization protocols requiring lower hybridization temperatures.

Pharmaceutical products are often characterized by complex formulations. Difficulties observed during Karl Fischer determination are often caused by the limited solubility. In some cases side reactions have to be considered. In dependance of composition and properties of the formulations, various measures are necessary for an undisturbed Karl Fischer determination.

Foodstuffs encompass the most diverse products. Depending on whether carbohydrate-rich, fatty or proteinrich substances are under investigation, different working techniques are favourable. Complex matrices that dissolve slowly, or where the water can only be slowly extracted, necessitate the use of solubilisers.
