General description

C15 Ceramide-1-Phosphate-d7 (d18:1-d7/15:0) is a deuterated derivative of C15 Ceramide-1-Phosphate. Ceramide-1-Phosphate (C1P) is a bioactive sphingolipid. It is a metabolite of ceramide and is obtained by the phosphorylation of ceramide by ceramide kinase.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Ceramide-1-Phosphate (C1P) plays an important role in regulating apoptosis and cell proliferation. It is also involved in phagocytosis and is an important factor in the modulation of macrophage chemotaxis. C1P possesses pro-inflammatory activity.
