General description
Sodium hexametaphosphate is an inorganic polyphosphate salt commonly used as a corrosion inhibitor, emulsifying agent and as a tooth whitening agent in dentifrice formulations.
Sodium hexametaphosphate is a water-soluble inorganic stabilizing agent used as a surfactant to decrease the zeta potential of halloysite suspensions.

Application
Sodium hexametaphosphate has been used as a polyphosphate anion source to prepare hydrated calcium polyphosphate powder. It can be used as a deflocculant to prepare suspensions of kaolinite and ceramic grade kaolin.

Intended for the cytologic demonstration of Naphthol AS-D Chloroacetate Esterase in blood, bone marrow films or tissue touch preparations.
