생화학적/생리학적 작용

CRYM (kreductase μ-crystallin) is a taxon-specific crystallin and was identified as a structural protein of lens in some marsupials. It is involved in transport of 3,5,3′-triiodo-L-thyronine (T(3)) into nuclei. CRYM regulates thyroid-hormone-related gene expression in cells. Mutations in CRYM are associated with nonsyndromic deafness in human.
