General description

Phosphoglycerate kinase 1 (PGK1) is an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of 1,3-diphosphoglycerate to 3-phosphoglycerate during glycolysis. PGK1 expression has been correlated to CXCR4 expression, survival and bone marrow metastasis in neuroblastoma patients.
Rabbit Anti-PGK1 antibody recognizes bovine, human, mouse, rat, and canine PGK1.

Immunogen

Synthetic peptide directed towards the N terminal region of human PGK1

Application

Rabbit Anti-PGK1 antibody has been used as a loading control in immunoblotting assays. The product is suitable at a concentration of 0.5μg/ml for western blots.

Biochem/physiol Actions

PGK1 is a glycolytic enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of 1,3-diphosphoglycerate to 3-phosphoglycerate. The protein may also act as a cofactor for polymerase alpha. The protein encoded by this gene is a glycolytic enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of 1,3-diphosphoglycerate to 3-phosphoglycerate. A close relationship between phosphoglycerate kinase 1 (PGK1) and the CXCR4/SDF1 axis (chemokine receptor 4/stromal cell derived factor 1) has been shown for several cancers. However, the role of PGK1 has not been investigated for neuroblastoma, and PGK1 might be
