Application

Biotin labeled bovine albumin has been used as a component in myosin V processivity experiments. It has also been used to provide biotin tags for neutravidin coating and also to suppress nonspecific cell adhesion during preparation of tension gauge tether (TGT) surface.
Biotin-conjugated bovine serum albumin binds selectively to different vascular subsets in lymphoid tissues, as demonstrated by both fluorescent and enzymohistochemical techniques, and thus offers a histochemical probe for identification of select microvascular endothelia in lymphoid tissues. In spleen, biotin-BSA binds to red pulp sinuses, but not white pulp vessels (including the central arteriole) nor the marginal sinus. In the thymus, prominent binding was restricted to the capillaries of the corticomedullary area.

In this article, we summarize the knowledge and best practices learned from bulk and single-molecule measurements to address some of the frequently experienced difficulties in single-molecule Förster resonance energy transfer (smFRET) measurements on G-quadruplex (GQ) structures. Septins are GTP-binding proteins that associate with the microtubule (MT) and actin cytoskeleton. Septins affect MT organization and posttranslational modifications, but their role in MT dynamics is less understood. Here, we reconstituted MT dynamics in the presence of the MT-binding

Cells and organelles are delimited by lipid bilayers in which high deformability is essential to many cell processes, including motility, endocytosis and cell division. Membrane tension is therefore a major regulator of the cell processes that remodel membranes, albeit one

Self-assembled DNA nanostructures feature an unprecedented addressability with sub-nanometer precision and accuracy. This addressability relies on the ability to attach functional entities to single DNA strands in these structures. The efficiency of this attachment depends on two factors: incorporation of
