General description
Insulin Human is a peptide hormone made up of two chains consisting of 51 amino acids, which closely resembles the natural insulin produced by the pancreas' beta cells. The A-chain comprises 21 amino acids, while the B-chain is made up of 30 amino acids. It is obtained either by modifying insulin from the porcine pancreas using enzymes to adjust the amino acid sequence, or by using recombinant DNA technology to produce it.
