General description

The Human RAGE ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of human RAGE in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants and urine.

Immunogen

Recombinant Human RAGE

Application

For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.

Human RAGE / AGER ELISA kit has been used for the quantitative measurement of RAGE in cerebrospinal fluid.
Please refer to the attached General ELISA KIT Procedure (sandwich, competitive & Indirect ELISA)

Biochem/physiol Actions

Advanced glycosylation end-product specific receptor (AGER) or RAGE is part of the immunoglobulin superfamily of cell surface molecules. The soluble form of the protein has a function in the Wnt pathway. RAGE has a role in the development of inflammatory and cellular damage, as well as cellular toxicity. It has been associated with diabetic atherosclerosis. AGER/RAGE also modulates cell proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis.(6}
