General description

Neuronal specific enolase 2 (ENO2) is also known as γ-enolase. It is present in the cytoplasm of neuroendocrine cells.

Immunogen

brain NSE from human.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Neuronal specific enolase 2 (ENO2) has been studied as a biomarker in the progression of multiple sclerosis. It converts 2-phosphoglycerate into phosphoenolpyruvate.

Physical form

Prediluted in 20 mM HEPES, containing 135 mM NaCI, 1% BSA, and 0.09% sodium azide.
